DeRocke Croome: Camp Director

DeRocke Croom is a native of Hampton, Virginia where he attended Hampton High School and Hampton University. DeRocke played football and basketball – earning two State Championships and the CIAA Northern Division Championship, respectively. He graduated with a degree in Recreation and has served as the Senior Recreation Supervisor II of Athletics for the City of Norfolk, where he administrated over athletic programming for 234,220 residents.

DeRocke has played organized sports since the age of 6 and continues to be committed to the field of athletics coaching competitive football teams on both the high school and collegiate levels. DeRocke has inspired countless young athletes to continue with sports, some professionally, and many have come back to serve in the community. He is devoted to sharing his time helping youth develop in sports and in their lives.

Davon Barton: Camp Director

Davon Barton conducts personalized training sessions for aspiring athletes for Moore Management and Entertainment, LLC. Davon also serves as the Head Junior Varsity Basketball Coach and Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach for the Phoebus High School Phantoms, of Hampton, VA. He played collegiate basketball as the starting point guard for the Christopher Newport University (CNU) Captains in Newport News, VA, where he led the Captains to a conference championship as a freshman. During his time at CNU (2005-2009), Barton led the team in points and assists and served as team captain because of his leadership prowess on and off the court. Barton left the Captains as 2nd overall in assists and 6th overall in points scored in team history.

Davon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and is currently a paraprofessional counselor. His passion is working with young people. Basketball has provided him a unique opportunity to utilize his skills, past experiences, and knowledge of the game to make an impact on the lives of youth. He is committed to seeing his players be successful on and off the court.
